China Sodium Metabisulfite price rose overall last week (3.1-3.5)

Last week, the domestic price of Sodium Pyrosulfite(Sodium Metabisulfite) rose in an all-round way. The average price of industrial grade Sodium Pyrosulfite(Sodium Metabisulphite) at the beginning of last week was 1666.67 CNY / ton, and the average price at the end of last week was 1783.33 CNY / ton, up 7%.

After the Chinese New year holiday, domestic Soda Ash and Sulphur prices continued to rise sharply, supported by the sharp rise in raw material costs, in March, Sodium Metabisulfite manufacturers increased their ex factory prices one after another. The market price range of industrial grade Sodium Metabisulphite was 1700-1950 CNY / ton, and most of the prices were concentrated in 1700-1800 CNY / ton. The production of the manufacturers is stable, the inventory is maintained at about 30%, these manufacturers mainly completes the orders of old customers, and the increase of new orders is limited.

 Last week, domestic Soda Ash price continued to rise by 1.89%, sulfur price rose by 6.07%, upstream raw material price continued to rise, and processing cost continued to increase, which will further boost the market price of Sodium Pyrosulfite in the future.

The cost of raw materials continues to rise. Supported by the cost, it is expected that the domestic market price of Sodium Metabisulfite will still be in a certain recovery space in the short term.
